This policy explains what data we use and why. By using this site, you agree to what is described here.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and anything you choose to save, such as your favorite places, your alerts, your city and your quiet hours.
- Weekend plan by email: if you sign up without an account, we keep your email address and the city you pick. Nothing is sent until you confirm from your inbox, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe, which deletes your address.
- Telegram: if you connect Telegram to your account, we keep the chat ID so we can send your alerts there. You can disconnect it from your account or by sending /desconectar to the bot.
- Browser notifications: if you turn them on, we keep the address your browser gives us to deliver alerts, along with the browser's name. You can turn them off from your account or in your browser settings.
- Offline pages: so the site works without a connection, your browser keeps the last public pages you opened on your own device. They never leave your device.
- Site usage: browsing data and statistics to improve the service.
- Approximate location: to show you the sunset where you are. You can always search for any city yourself.
- Signing in with Google: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google and use them for your account. If you upload your own profile photo, that one is shown instead.
- Contact messages: if you write to us through the contact form, we keep your name, email address and message so we can answer you.
- Photos: if you upload a photo to the gallery, we review it before publishing it under the user name you choose, and email you our decision if those emails are turned on in your account. If you mark a photo as a favorite, we keep that on your account; the gallery only shows how many favorites each photo has.
Third-party services
We work with providers that may process some data:
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Accounts and storage: we use an infrastructure provider for accounts and photos.
- Email: alerts, confirmations and the weekend plan are sent through an email delivery provider.
- Place search: when you search for a place that is not on our list, we send what you typed, without your identity or your location, to public place search services. They are listed under data sources.
Cookies
We use necessary and analytics cookies. We do not show ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we only use analytics if you accept it in the notice you see when you arrive; if you don't answer or you reject it, it doesn't load. Anywhere, you can change your answer at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page. More details in our cookie policy.
Your rights
From your account you can download all your data and delete your account along with everything in it. You can also ask to access, correct or delete your data by writing to hola@atardecer-dehoy.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
